Spanning approximately 4.5 miles, the trail leads visitors through a mesmerizing landscape of vibrant red sandstone formations and unique natural arches, which have been sculpted by centuries of erosion and weathering. As you navigate the trail, you’ll encounter several impressive natural arches, including the notable “Rainbow Arch,” which is renowned for its picturesque appearance and colorful strata. The vibrant hues of the rock formations provide a stunning backdrop for photography, especially during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset when the light enhances the colors. ⚠️ Annual Trail Closures: To help ensure the safety of visitors, park staff, and local emergency responders, several trails are closed each year from May 15 through September 30.
The following trails are affected by the seasonal closure:
White Domes Loop, Fire Wave / Seven Wonders Loop / Pastel Canyon / Pink Canyon, Pinnacles Loop, Prospect Trail, Arrowhead Trail, Natural Arch Trail (Arch Rock remains accessible), Charlie’s Spring.
